Waiting to Hatch: Childbirth Education and Preparation

This course is designed for those who desire natural birth in an out-of-hospital setting.

This course will include:

• In-depth exploration of personal motivators and inner resources

• Partner bonding and inter-personal roles

• Preparing your body & labor welcoming techniques

• The physiologic stages and phases of labor and birth 

• Setting sacred space

• Comfort measures and coping techniques

• Building your support team

• Relationships with pain and/or prior trauma

• Hospital transfer and medical interventions

• Postpartum period & infant bonding

• Perinatal mood disorders during pregnancy and postpartum

• Transitioning to parenthood
